How a typical 504 loan is structured

A bank or other lender provides roughly 50% of the project. CDC New England provides about 40% through an SBA-backed debenture. The borrower contributes about 10% in equity. In certain situations, that 10% can be reduced or financed. The CDC New England portion is fixed for up to 25 years.
